We\u2019ve made lots of little tweaks and are really proud of the results &#8211; and we hope you\u2019re like it just as much!<\/p>\n<p><strong>We\u2019ve improved:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>App navigation and layout<\/li>\n<li>Search function<\/li>\n<li>Callout mapping<\/li>\n<li>Adding information to reports<\/li>\n<li>And the mobile app!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The update aims to make using Synchroteam even easier for all users, whether you\u2019re sending your technicians out to assess, repair or maintain your clients\u2019 assets. This will save you and your team time, effort and money. The new interface now makes the tool\u00a0even easier to use, thanks to the combination of drop-down menus and direct sub-menu access.<\/p>\n<p>Now you\u2019ll be able to access specific items &#8211; like job report templates and unavailability types\u00a0&#8211; in a single click. Before, you had to follow a tree-like nested structure to get to the option you needed. Now you can skip a few clicks, saving you lots of time when you&#8217;re planning the nitty-gritty of your routes.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s only a small change, but having all the options at your fingertips is\u00a0the type of optimizing tweak that&#8217;s going to make your life easier. We\u2019ll admit that we took our inspiration from OSX Yosemite for this one\u2026it\u2019s very easy to use, and allows you to have all the information that corresponds to a specific request &#8211; a contact, a callout number, an invoice\u2026<\/p>\n<p>This means you can\u00a0find the name of a client by clicking on a callout number, for example, or a list of the companies that use a specific model of aircon unit by searching for the reference number of the equipment in question.<\/p>\n<p>Search results\u00a0are ordered by\u00a0category to make them easier to assess.<\/p>\n<h2>The planning map is easier to read<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_418\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-418\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-01-29_14h58_32.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-418 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-01-29_14h58_32-1024x521.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"325\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-01-29_14h58_32-1024x521.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-01-29_14h58_32-300x152.png 300w, https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-01-29_14h58_32-900x458.png 900w, https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/2015-01-29_14h58_32.png 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-418\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">New mapping feature with a clear, detailed view of the maintenance technician\u2019s daily schedule<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The new\u00a0version of Synchroteam also has a new mapping feature for callouts and maintenance. This makes the callout manager\u2019s job easier, as it\u2019s easier to read and\u00a0lets you\u00a0see the workflow of the technician on the ground in real time.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, a single click on the technician\u2019s name lets you trace his or her shift in detail: base point address (home or agency) and\u00a0<a title=\"Where's Waldo? Now you know, with Synchroteam\" href=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/product-tour-mapping.php\" target=\"_blank\">GPS location<\/a> of the various callouts happening\u00a0as they appear in\u00a0the schedule on the map. A blue dot indicates that the technician is currently working on a job at that location. As well as the itinerary sketched out on the map, you\u2019ll see a list of the different callouts underway, as well as distance and journey time information.<\/p>\n<p>The new version&#8217;s mapping feature gives you better visibility of daily schedules, but that\u2019s not all. Thanks to the streamlined planning optimisation features, the new mapping feature also allows you to visualize operations that still haven\u2019t taken place, letting you pick the closest technician and plan callouts straight &#8211; taking location, availability and skills into account &#8211; from the map module itself.<\/p>\n<h2>New reports on mobile app<\/h2>\n<p>Synchroteam users can now insert photos on the move, straight\u00a0into activity reports. What\u2019s more, the callout manager can now make it obligatory to insert a photo when making an <a title=\"Enterprise Class Job Reporting Functionality with Synchroteam\" href=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/product-tour-reporting.php\" target=\"_blank\">online report<\/a>, helping technicians produce more complete reports. A document database has also been added to the mobile version. That\u2019s useful for storing information about how to use various materials, or information about equipment a technician might find on a given callout, for example.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JobReport.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-431\" src=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JobReport.png\" alt=\"JobReport\" width=\"1600\" height=\"815\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JobReport.png 1600w, https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JobReport-300x152.png 300w, https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JobReport-1024x521.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JobReport-900x458.png 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a title=\"Connect your mobile workers with Synchroteam's iOS or Android app\" href=\"https:\/\/www.synchroteam.com\/mobile.php\" target=\"_blank\">mobile app<\/a> used by your technicians when they are on a callout has also been improved. It\u2019s now easier for your technicians to create a callout request, and they&#8217;ll have access to more information on their smartphones, like callout history and data on each clients&#8217; facilities.<\/p>\n<h2>For users: a field service management app that gives you more, and is even easier to get to grips with!<\/h2>\n<p>To make sure that Synchroteam users get the most out of the new version, all our <a title=\"Synchroteam tech support\" href=\"\/\/support.synchroteam.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">technical support<\/a> agents are up to date with the changes.
